FAQ Section
If you haven’t already marked your calendars, grab a pen (or tell Siri) to take note—move-in is coming up quick. Depending on your lease, we’re kicking things off on June 1st, July 1st, August 1st, or August 14th.
To keep things smooth and avoid late fees (because who needs that stress?), make sure your first installment is paid prior to your lease start and move-in. Nothing kills the vibe like a late fee, so stay ahead of the game and keep your stats high.
We’ve made paying effortless so you can get back to your move-in prep. You can handle everything through the resident portal using a debit card, credit card, or ACH payment. You can even set up automatic recurring charges so you never have to think about it twice. Pro tip: there are zero fees when you pay via ACH.
While Atlas handles almost everything for you, there is just one utility in your court: Electricity.
To keep things effortless, your electricity is billed through Conservice. The total cost is split evenly between all roommates and posted directly to your resident portal. You pay it right alongside your rent, so there’s no need to manage separate accounts or venmo your roommates for power bills.
Just a heads-up on the timing: utility billing is paid in arrears. This means your first bill won’t arrive until about two months after you move in, and each subsequent bill reflects your usage from two months prior. It’s the ultimate pro-move for keeping your monthly vibe consistent.
It’s likely not the first thing on your mind, but we require at least $100,000 of liability coverage from move-in through the duration of your stay. It’s a simple safeguard designed to have your back in the unlikely event of accidental fire or water damage—the kind of thing you hope you never need, but are definitely glad to have in your corner if you do.
We’ve made meeting this requirement completely effortless—no overthinking required. We’ll automatically apply a $15 charge to your account per installment and handle the coverage details for you. This fee waives your requirement to provide a separate insurance policy, as we secure our own insurance to cover those same risks. This program is does not cover personal property and is not renters insurance.
If you already have your own liability insurance, or want to grab a third-party policy to opt out of our program, just upload your insurance certificate or contact the leasing team for the details. We’ll review it right away and waive the fee as long as it hits the requirements.
Head over to the resident portal to get registered and set up. Once you’re in, run through this quick checklist to make sure you’re good to go:
Did you make your first installment payment?
Did you enter your vehicle info? (If you’re bringing a ride, of course.)
Did you sign any pending documents?
Did you complete your petscreening profile? (Even if you do not have a pet, must register as a no pet profile)
If you answered yes to all of the above, you’re officially one step closer to your new views. Other than that, all you need to bring is a valid photo ID—we’ll handle the rest.
As we get closer to your move-in date, we’ll be posting updated check-in times right here. Stay tuned—we’ll have more info headed your way soon!
What you take with you matters. We’ve put together a master packing list to help you plan ahead and curate your new space. You’ll find everything you need here—and then some.
